One Year

Today marks one year that our dossier has been registered with IBESR in Haiti.  It honestly has gone by so much faster than I expected.  Probably because this past year has been the hardest we have faced in many ways.  We have been tempted more than once to stop this process - feeling inadequate, unsure of His calling, fearful of the unknown.  These feelings amidst other great challenges have left us in a place of waiting on the Lord to show us His will.  The door has not been closed and so we press on.  Our home study update was completed this spring and our immigration approval was updated in June.  For now, we wait on Him to bring us through the days ahead.  We don't expect a referral for at least another year, so until our home study expires next year there is little to do but pray.  A seemingly small action but is anything but.  We ask for your continued prayers for our family and for the people of Haiti that continue to face great challenges we cannot comprehend.
